Theaters

Our Theatres

The clinic has been structured to ensure transparency throughout each process of medical treatment. From consultation, diagnosis and surgery, Dr Cliff has implemented infrastructure that meets his standard of professional practise.

The theaters have been built with the standards and speculations required by the South African Veterinary Council. They are sterilised daily and the equipment used boasts from some of the newest ranges. We are proud to be an F10 Anti-fungal/ anti-bacterial accredited clinic.

Our surgeons and the vet nurses are able to monitor their patients with the use of anaesthetic machine, monitoring blood pressure, oxygen levels and heart rate.

Clean surgical procedures means that not only does the surgical environment need to be sterilised, but specified customs must be implemented.

1.     Surgeons, nurses and assistance are required to wear scrubs: this in order to prevent the spread of microbial contamination.
2.     Hair covering: hair is a significant carrier of bacteria and when left uncovered it can act as a filter and collect bacteria.
3.     Footgear and show covers: our team at Craig View have specific hospital shoes; worn for comfort and hygiene. Shoe covers are essential and used to prevent contamination.
4.     Masks: a facial mask should be worn when entering a sterile environment. The mask is there to filter and contain droplets of microorganisms expelled by the mouth or nose during talking, sneezing or coughing.
